Wow, it seems like lately all my babies that were just newborns are one already!! Wow! How time flys! But I feel so happy and priveledged that these parents are having me back for their One year pictures! I've done photo sessions for this family 3 times in the last year!! Thanks guys for always having me back. I love photographing you and your family...and just seeing you guys! Ya'll are always so much fun!

Wow! What a beautiful day this Saturday turned out to be, and tomorrow is expected to be the same! I guess this is the calm before the storm! lol! The other day I met up with one of my regular clients to do a family session. I photographed their newborn back in May. I'm always so amazed how fast these babies grow and change in such a short time. Baby C was just looking so adorable and so was mom!! I can't believe how she just got right back into shape! Check out this good look family!!

Happy Sunday Morning All!! After all the cold and crazy rain on Friday, I was concerned about Saturday's shoot. It ended up being pretty decent. Although when the sun started to set, it got cold pretty fast. Honestly, I think it was about another hour and half before I could get full feeling in my fingers!!
Yesterday evening I got the opportunity to photograph a co-worker and her teenage son. I had never done a teenage boy and his mother. I was kinda concerned about what kind of poses to work with but it all came together. These two were lots of fun! And they showed me a new location to shoot at! Ms. D wanted this shoot with her son as a birthday present for herself. Today is her birthday! Happy Birthday Ms. D!!

Yesterday I met up with one of my regular clients and did Miss A's 1 year old session! I can't believe this little sweetheart is one already! I did her newborn pictures last year. She has changed so much! She is one happy beautiful little girl! I love being able to watch these babies grow! Thanks for having me back Mr and Mrs P! You guys make a beautiful family!

Today was the first chill of the season! I woke up this morning and had to kick on that heater! However, as the day went on it got warmer and it just ended up being a beautiful day...low 70s! Now only if Fall could stay like this every day through the season! This was a perfect day for a photographer.
Today, I met the sweetest family...Mr & Mrs B and baby E. Baby E was such a cutie! He had the most amazing blue eyes! He didn't smile much during the session, but when he did, he just lit up! It was funny because as soon as the camera went up he didn't smile but as soon as I put it down he was smiling. Mom and Dad said he is always like that...even at home. I did catch a few smiles though.

Happy Monday All! I'm up early editing. So much to do today...sometimes it just doesn't seem like there are enough hours in the day!
Yesterday, I photographed one of my dear friends and her family! She started with me from the beginning and has watched me grow in this business. I photographed her family last year and boy it was a challenge so when she asked me to do it again, I was a little worried because her family grew by 3 more! Groups are always challenging for photographers. HOWEVER; yesterday was a BREEZE!!!! We did the whole family, the kids as a group and the kids individually and we were done in about 40 min!! I couldn't believe it! And it was so much fun!!

Today I met up with a friend that I knew back from 6th grade!! YEP! I said 6th grade! That was....cough, cough...we won't say how many years ago. :) But it was great to see her again! I don't really run into friends from the past too often but its nice when I do! Today I got the opportunity to photograph her daughter's senior pictures.
This beautiful young lady was a little shy at first but when it was said and done, we were having fun! Its funny because she loves the 80's style...thats back in my day! Well, I must say though that she pulls it off well!!
It was nice to see you again my friend and meet your lovely daughter!

I took the next few days off from the military to catch up on some work...and boy do I have a lot to catch up on! I'm not complaining though, I'm blessed to be doing so good in the business and meeting some wonderful people! :) Right now, I'm editing some sessions and I'm working on this little cutie. This little cutie is just as pretty as her mom! I photographed mom and dad for a maternity session about a month ago, and now I had the opportunity to photograph their new arrival! This little girl is a DOLL!! She made me work tho on getting good face shots. She ALWAYS wanted to suck on her thumb, therefore, making her cover her face with her hand! It was cute though. I got some cute thumb sucking shots...but also some really cute pictures of miss lil B. Enjoy your sneak peek mom and dad!

Last night I got the opportunity to do my first shoot with a male model! My brother knows all the hot guys in OKC and introduced me to Eric! They are working on getting Eric into the modeling industry. I can definitely see him going places...NO DOUBT!! Let me tell you, I did not do any kind of editing on him, just the lighting and color effects of the picture! He didn't need it!
Man! Are these abs insane or what! I had to ask him what his diet was...but not till I asked if he ate at all! LOL! The last time I saw abs like this was in that movie "300".....HA! and those guys were fake! It's the real deal here!
Its was nice working with you Eric and Jeff! You guys were a lot of fun!! I look forward to our next photo shoot!

We were up and about early this morning doing Miss M's Photo Shoot...this makes her sound like a supermodel,huh? Well, you'll definitely be thinking supermodel when you see these! This is what it sounds like through out the house. The husband came home from the field with a cough and now I think I have it.....not feeling sick or anything just a little cough and constantly trying to clear the throat. We take turns coughing.....I hear the hubby in the distance now...cough...cough...cough. It's my turn...cough...cough....cough.
Well, I got the opportunity to do a session with our new family member, Little Baby A! Hes such a cutie! AND oh my goodness, he was absolutely a sweetheart. He slept pretty much through the whole session.

My husband actually came and helped me on this one, just so we could spend some time together! (He's the best!!) AND with the hubby's help, I was finally able to create this pose!! I have been trying this one for awhile. WARNING: Do not do this one alone! :)

I'm was up early this morning trying to get caught up. I had the whole weekend to myself but I stayed busy. I had a couple of sessions and I'm trying to play catch up before the family gets home. This weekend I had some returning clients and both of these families are awesome! These parents has some good looking kids...absolutely model material! Happy Sunday all!

Look at this little sweetheart! She has the most amazing eyes! She has 3 brothers. Thats awesome because she'll always have someone to have her back...but then again, I feel for ya lil G....you won't be able to have any boyfriends till you get married. :)

Sept 14 we welcomed a new family member! Lil Baby A! This is my husband's cousin's baby. And what a cutie he is!! Ok, I'd have to say this is the youngest baby I've photographed...1 day old! Can't beat that one...Or maybe we can. So, any mom's out there want to beat this? I could be at the hospital and photograph at only a couple hours old! :)
This couple make the cutest babies. Lil Baby A's big sister is just as cute and sweet! Congrats J & D!

Happy Monday all!! Today I met these two sweetest little girls. Lil Baby V was a tiny thing but OH MAN for someone so tiny, she had so much pee in her. lol! Seeing what you feel....

As I sit here editing late this evening I think about how to put into words what I want my pictures to create for people. Its a feeling! I had a client this week tell me that my pictures made her cry (of course, in a good way). I just kinda laughed and said "don't cry" but then that is exactly what I'm trying to get...an emotion...a feeling. I did my job because now she can look at those pictures and remember that incredible feeling she felt looking at all her sweet children together and happy.

When I do newborn sessions, I want my clients to look at their pictures and remember the feeling of excitement because a new journey was about to begin.

When I photograph young children, I want the parents to remember how young and precious and innocent their children are because those years will go quick.

When I photograph a whole family, I want them to look at those pictures and remember the incredible love and bond they have for one another.

When I do a boudoir session, I want my ladies to feel sexy and to remember THEY ARE SEXY...inside and out!

When it's all said and done, its moments that capture our hearts and makes us smile as we remember. It's like one of my favorite sayings..."Life is not measured by the amount of breaths we take, but the moments that take our breath away." When my clients look at their pictures years later, I want all those feelings they were feeling at the time to come rushing back and feel blessed knowing they were able to capture that moment forever.

I love what I do! I love photography! I want to capture what people feel at that moment. So when I'm looking down my lens "I'm seeing what you Feel!" -Nani

Today I had the opportunity to meet sweet Miss J. She made my job easy today. She slept pretty much most of the time and was pretty content with everything. This family all together was awesome! Mom wasn't feeling too well so dad and Mom's sister took over and helped out a lot. The kids you see here were soooo incredibly good! I had fun at this session. ....today I turned.....hmmmm....20!! Yea 20 sounds good! :) I just had to share my birthday present that I got from my honey and from the in-laws. I had been eye balling this Kelly Moore camera bag ever since I went out shooting with another local photographer, Chelsea Beck. I thought how convenient this bag could be for me, especially when I am always changing out lenses and stuff. I had to wait for a special day to get this one.....I love my new camera bag! ...that is what I thought about this beautiful young lady today. This evening I did my first maternity session since I started the business and I enjoyed photographing these two...and a half! :)
I was a little nervous about doing the shoot but it turned out quite well. Mom was a little nervous too because she said she was a little camera shy. Look at these pictures....can you believe she's camera shy? Yep, I couldn't believe it either! She did so well! You know how some women are just adorable when their pregnant? Today I met this handsome lil guy...Baby A. He sure made me work for my pictures today. I think we were about 2 hours into the session before he actually settled down and fell asleep. There was too much going on and he didn't want to miss anything, and I think we determined grandma spoiled him when she was in town because he did not like being laid down....or it could have just been me and he just didn't want his pictures taken; but he wasn't getting rid of me that easily. I waited him out and glad I did....we got some adorable pictures of this handsome lil guy! Mr and Mrs M, it was a pleasure to meet you, as well as you big sister! Enjoy your sneak peeks! :)

Well, the other day I met the "R" family and they showed me a new location to shoot, the Will Rogers Park. They have this awesome Rose Garden there! Ok, it may not be new to other photographers, cuz there were a ton out there, but it was new to me! lol. And if anyone knows of any great outdoor locations, let me know. I'm always keeping an eye out for one.

Today I had the privilege to meet and photograph a local female artist, Ms. Tramee. She's a rapper and R&B singer, owns her own boutique store, "Rockin Couture," AND beautiful as you can see...A True Superwoman!
This was my 2nd Boudoir session. This was a mix between modeling portraits and boudoir AND I had a blast. I can definitely get into doing sessions like these! It was nice to meet you Ms. Tramee.

My husband and I just got back from St. Croix and every since we've been back it has been raining non stop. I've even had to reschedule a couple of sessions. However, we got to squeeze this one in yesterday evening before it started raining again . I met this family through another client. I just love referrals!! It lets me know I'm doing something right! :)
Here is the "C" family...what a good looking bunch!! Lately, I have just been having issues pronouncing certain words...don't ask me what thats about! And poor Miss K, I couldn't just pronounce her name right. It wasn't like it was hard or anything, just couldn't get it....but I think I got it down by the end of the evening. :) Sorry about that Miss K. It was nice to meet you "C" Family. Saturday...A fun bunch!

This evening was a hot one! I didn't think it was ever gonna cool down! This evening I met up with a friend from work and took some pictures of her kids and nephew. These kids were a fun bunch! They were just so silly. I had fun with them Ms. T. Your right...when you have more than one kid, they can just entertain each other all day...as well as entertain you! :) Enjoy your sneek peek!

The other day I met these 3 lovely young ladies! These girls are 20, 10, and 5! Because of the age difference I couldn't believe how close these girls were! They had so much fun with each other which made the photo shoot fun and natural! These girls were awesome and beautiful! Trying new things....

First of all, I've been so busy so I've got a couple of sessions to share today. I usually just stick to photographing the children and families but I love learning new things as well! I've been asked to photograph food for a restaurant's menu and do a boudoir session. So here are a few pics from both.

Here is the boudoir session. This was really fun! It was like a girl's night out! I love my job! :)
I did this session for a friend that wanted to surprise her husband with an anniversary gift! Of course, I'm limited on what I can show, so here are just a couple. I may show more later once I am done editing the session...with my client's approval of course. I think I can really get into doing this as another side business.

Now here is something totally different from the boudoir photos. I got the opportunity to photograph some food for a menu..totally different than what I'm used to but I enjoyed the experience....and the food!!

The Brady Bunch....

...Ok, not quite, but this is the Phillips Bunch! :) I love this family! I did the baby's newborn pictures and the children's Christmas pictures last year! This is a good looking family and they take awesome pictures...when their all looking at the same time; and even if their not, they still took some cute pictures. It was a little challenging getting to get the little ones to look at the same time but I think we got pretty darn close on a few! They had such an awesome little waterfall right there in their neighborhood so we didn't have to go to far. Enjoy your sneek peeks! I enjoyed photographing your family! You guys are great!

Not such a great start.....

....but ended up Good! This morning I had a session to shoot at the Myriad Gardens Once I got there, I was a shocked to find out it was shut down for construction!!! Panic started to kick in cuz we were trying for early morning and the sun was quickly rising, which is not the best conditions to shoot in. However, this family lives right by a nice little park so we ended up there. It ended up being a nice little spot and really convenient for the family. I worried a little about the lighting conditions but once I got these home to review, they didn't look bad at all! Now as for being a little extra warm...we ALL were! It was getting hot & humid. HA! but you can't tell looking at these pictures. The family kept their cool! :) Mrs. D brought her cousin over to get some pictures with her and her little girl! Here are a few sneek peeks! Enjoy! OH! And Lesson Learned Here...If shooting downtown, be sure to check on events AND construction! :)

Dad is such a good sport. Usually the men don't like doing pictures,but dad did really well!...Now Baby D on the other hand didn't want to smile for anything this morning.

The other day we celebrated Baby A's 1st birthday. It was my first cake smash session! And OH what a mess he made....good thing we were outside. However, we had to hurry before the ants attacked us! Today I did a session for my sister's friend! We went out to the lake and got some awesome shots! It was beautiful this evening...and so was this couple! Paul got picked up to do some modeling on the side after doing a calendar shoot for the Fire Dept. You could tell he was a natural...but then again you could tell he was so sweet, sincere and loving when he held his girl! Like my sister said, you guys make a really good looking couple! Welcoming Leila!

A couple of weeks ago, I went to Georgia to see my new niece, Leila! I was so excited to meet her and (I have to admit) to be able to practice some fun shots I've been wanting to try. This little sweetheart was just such a content baby! All she required was eat and sleep...and I'm serious when I say thats ALL she did. I think she would only stay up for about 10min at a time if she wasn't eating. She is such a good baby! Here is sweet little Leila!

Here is a pose I have been wanting to try, the Potato Sack pose. It turned out ok, but I think I need more practice with this one and maybe a different background. I know one thing for sure...swaddling a baby tight is not as easy as you guys think! You should have seen us...all 3 sisters trying to swaddle this baby! We were thinking "no big deal." Yea right!! Its not that easy when a baby doesn't want to be swaddled. haha!

Today, I got to go back and do a session for my very first client. It was her little one that got me started with the baby photography! I was glad to go back and do a session for her family that came into town. We were limited to shooting inside because of the crazy storms and tornados that we've been having, so it was pretty wet outside....and just think, her family is from Florida! I bet you guys can't wait to get out of here and back to Florida! ....Can I go with you guys?!? :)

I was just telling this client today how I have missed shooting the little babies. I was thrilled when she called me to come shoot her 4 wk old son! Lil C was a cutie!! He struggled going to sleep for us but we still got some really sweets shots! It was so nice to meet you and your family Mrs. C. I can't wait to be able to come back out and do sessions for you guys outside. You've got the perfect setup!! :) I'm glad that we were able to grandpa in with the boys! I did another session with Morgan yesterday and she is such a beautiful young lady and takes awesome pictures! We went out to the Oklahoma Railway Museum. OK, I have to tell you about this place....This is right across the street from my job and I would always see the little train rides they would give the children on weekends. I didn't think much about it till a few weekends ago. I went up there for the first time with some kids I was shooting. This is such a neat little place....an awesome place for kids! Its an outdoor museum with pieces of freight equipment, pieces of artifacts, and locomotive displays. They give train rides that lasts 30-40min and even offer birthday parties and other private functions! If you got any little ones, this would be a great place to spend some time with the kiddos and come hang out on a Saturday or Sunday for a couple of hours! And it was an awesome place to do Morgan's senior pictures!! Thanks to ORM for allowing me to come shoot! I will definitely be coming back!

It was such a beautiful evening! It was perfect weather for my first "female senior session." Today, I met Miss Morgan and had the great opportunity to shoot her senior pictures. We walked around bicktown...and you would have never guessed it was a Sunday evening. The clubs were kickn' and people everywhere, just enjoying this beautiful weather! It was fun shooting Morgan's pictures. We will be doing another shoot this week at the Railroad/Train museum...I can't wait! Be sure to check back for those sneek peeks.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to photograph the two most sweetest kids! They were so good and took the cutest pictures! Mom is in the military with me. We had started out at the house but then ended up at this little railroad/train park right by work! We got the best pictures there. I will be using this spot more often! 7 Sweet Girls...Sarah Rose Boutique

I have a friend that is starting up her boutique, Sarah Rose Boutique. I did a photo session of some of her clothes line so she could post some pictures on her website. We had 7 of the sweetest girls and it was 50 degrees. They were ALL such good sports...not a single whiny complaint! They were all just beautiful girls in these beautiful outfits!
I added some textures to the pictures to give it a warm look...you wouldn't have ever guessed it was so cold. :)
This lil sweetheart was just precious. She couldn't keep her tongue in her mouth at all but she continued to always give me those sweet smiles!

This is my beautiful niece! She even did really good in this cold weather! I just love this outfit on her!

This lil girl was very shy but very sweet. Her and her sister were just sweet together and did some great pictures!

This was the last shot of the day and she had this all out summer dress on. She was freezing but still mustered up a smile for me and took some really cute pictures. I felt so sorry for these girls but they did all so well!!! Good job girls!!

Here is a picture of my dog, Lexi. She is such a sweetheart and a great model when I need her. I had to test out a bean bag shot awhile back and she got in the beanbag and just let me take pictures. Last night I was taking a test shot of the new backdrop I made (see background), and she walks by. I told her to "stay" and she did. She knows what that means...time to model for mamma. Don't mind the lack of quality in this. I took this at a really high ISO. I just had to post this...she was soooo cute. :)

Today was such a beautiful day!! Its been so dreary lately, but we got some sunshine today!! I just came from a sibling photo shoot. Big D is 4yrs old and Lil D is just about 4mo. Yesterday I did a photo session indoors at a botanical garden. Whewww it was hot and humid in there! I had to keep wiping my lens down. Well, we survived it! I photographed this wonderful family. Today I met an incredible family with the prettiest little girl. Chesney (like Kenny Chesney, which mom is a fan of), is 5 days old. She slept for most of the session and was just so content. The other one (http://www.photographybynanim.smugmug.com/) still works for now but I don't know for how long. Things have finally started to slow down. I have been working on some sessions that I had before the holidays.
These two little ones are so beautiful! I had done some Christmas photos for them as well as a newborn session and pictures of their son...all in one day! Wheww! It was fun though. This little boy was so photogenic. He was quite the character. I can't wait to be able to photograph these kids again!

Today I got the opportunity to photograph this precious little girl. She was 3 weeks old and still so tiny! Since I like to shoot in natural lighting, it has been a challenge with this cold weather and some cloudy days. Today was perfect!

My First Wedding

I did my first wedding yesterday. I usually don't do weddings and hadn't planned on it for awhile. This opportunity came up and I couldn't pass it up. This couple didn't have too big of expectations and it was an outdoor wedding so what better opportunity to do my first wedding. My daughter was my secondary photographer and she did great!

Congratulations Ashley and Adam! You guys make a beautiful couple!! Thank you for letting me shoot your wedding.

Busy! Busy! Busy!...Its the Holidays!

Wow, This is my first year to do serious photography during the holidays and BOY has it kept me busy. I'm not complaining cuz I'm definitely getting in my practice time but I can't even imagine what it will be like next year as I get better and pick up more clients. It's exciting but I may have to get an assistant...Better put that daughter of mine to work. lol!

I love working with children because they are so cute and fun..and they end up with some really adorable pictures; however they can be a challenge sometimes. You give them an open field and they don't even think about pictures...they just wanna GO! Garrett was really good for the photos, Logan was just chillin' :) and Conner...well Conner was not in the mood to take pictures but I think we got some cute ones of him by himself...and we finally got all three boys together at the end. Thanks Kari for the opportunity to take pictures of your boys. And we can definitely do this again in Spring! I look forward to it!

I thought this photo was kinda funny...Heres grandma on the side trying to bribe conner to come take pictures...as you can see, he just wasn't having it.

I shot this family about a couple of weeks ago. It was mainly a shoot for the little girl, but we took some of the family to include grandpa and uncle. This little girl didn't make me work as hard as most toddlers...but I think she just woke up too. She still took some good pictures though. I loved the way the fall colors look in the background.
